Barcelona and Liverpool are currently negotiating Coutinho's transfer in England. Barcelona have taken a step forward and sent several emissaries to the north of England, where they hope to finally close the signing of their top target.
The information was revealed by Spanish program 'Onda Cero', who informed Barca's intention to offer a 120-million-euro base payment, plus 30 million euros depending on targets. The latest and most extravagant bid made for the Brazilian playmaker.
As reported by said source, Barcelona have set a deadline to sign Philippe Coutinho: they have until Monday. If the deal hasn't been closed by then, the Catalans will urgently look for a back-up.
The meeting between both clubs comes after Coutinho met Fenway Sports Group, the North American conglomerate who currently own Liverpool. The only thing that remains is for the Reds to consider Barcelona's offer as negotiations get underway.
