On TVE's 'El Rondo', Bartomeu tried to explain, for the umpteenth time, why Coutinho did not end up coming to the Camp Nou at the start of this season.
"They asked for €200m, but we knew that we couldn't offer that much and our proposal was less than 100, which with add-ons could rise to 120," admitted the Barca president.
Although Liverpool continue to contradict Bartomeu, insisting that they didn't ask for any amount because the Brazilian was not for sale, the president stands by his words.
Also, Bartomeu, far from blushing, defended his management of the club: "If the transfers contribute, that suggests that the team has been built correctly, so I have absolute confidence."
The president of the Catalan club also criticized the motion for censorship, lead by Benedito: "I see no reason to do it, not in a sporting context, economic context or patrimonial context."
Away from internal conflicts, Bartomeu reaffirmed his desire to win the Champions League, admitting that he would love a final against Real Madrid.
