Last season, Real Madrid scored more than 100 goals, shared between 19 different players. To give you an idea, Barcelona scored a similar amount, but only 16 players got the goals.
If we only count those who scored three goals or more (discounting the fluke goals or similar coincidences), in Barcelona there were 9 different goalscorers and Real Madrid had 10. So, the goal's are shared around more between the players at the Santiago Bernabeu.
This season seems to be going along the same lines. Currently, 10 players from Zidane's side have already found the back of the net, scoring 19 times between them.
The absence of Cristiano Ronaldo is worthy of note. When the Portuguese star plays, the majority of goal-scoring opportunities fall to him, which is why he scores more goals than anyone else.
Asensio is the side's current leading scorer, scoring four times, followed by Ronaldo (3) and, surprisingly, Casemiro, joint with Bale on two goals.
During the midweek game against Betis, Ronaldo will make his return, and Madrid will hope he comes back hungry for goals, with a performance similar to his previous one against APOEL. Although that would mean fewer goals for his team-mates.
