West Ham were the Egyptian's latest victims at the weekend as the former Chelsea man struck twice to take his goal tally to 12 goals in 17 games in all competitions since his summer move.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has openly admitted that the 25-year-old's goal return has surprised him but he is hoping that the pacey forward's purple patch will continue in the weeks and months to come.
With 12 goals for the season so far, Salah is just two behind Coutinho's tally of 14 last season, which is the most goals any 'Reds' player has scored in a single campaign since Luis Suarez moved to Barcelona on the back of hitting 31 goals in 2013/14.
After 17 games, Salah has scored more goals than Suarez and fellow legend of the Kop Fernando Torres had managed at the same point in their Liverpool careers, despite not playing as an out-and-out striker.
What's more, Salah has also contributed three assists to the Liverpool cause, meaning that he has directly had a hand in 15 goals in his first 17 games, again more either than Suarez or Torres.
When you factor in the penalty Salah missed against Huddersfield and his shot accuracy of 65% there is still room for improvement for the flying flanker who has feels he has unfinished business in the English top flight following his disappointing spell with Chelsea earlier in his career.
Premier League defences beware.
