Ronaldo calmed down by Florentino backing

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was quick to disparage criticism and negative opinions aimed at the Portuguese striker. He did so in an interview for Spanish radio program 'El Transistor', and the words reached Ronaldo's ears on Tuesday morning.

As informed by 'Diario AS', Cristiano Ronaldo was 'comforted' by the chairman's words and, though he had expected an earlier response from the club, he appreciated the action taken.

Perez's reaction made Ronaldo extremely happy, and he is understood to have referred to the comments as 'very positive' in his national team's concentration at the Confederations Cup.

Following these events, Ronaldo appears to be reconsidering quitting Real Madrid, though it will all be clear when Perez and CR7 meet after the Confederations Cup.
