Alexis Sanchez has shown little indication of wanting to remain at Arsenal once his deal expires next summer, and a move to Manchester City is understood to be his favoured option.
In fact, the forward turned down a mega-bucks deal that would have seen him earn £400,000-a-week, as reported by the 'Sun'. The offer in question came from Chinese Super League side Hebei Fortune, managed by former City coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Sanchez has decided to remain playing at a higher level, even if it means collecting a comparatively modest pay cheque at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola's project is certainly something the 28-year-old finds appealing, which is why he has chosen to snub the deal from the Far East which would have earned him up to £21 million per year after tax.
Last summer, he came close to a £60 million switch to City and it seems nothing is going to stop him from reuniting with Guardiola come June 2018.
