France head coach Didier Deschamps announced on Thursday that 'Les Bleus' would be without the stopper for around two weeks after he damaged a groin against 'Los Blancos'.
Deschamps explained the situation after leaving the 30-year-old out of his squad for the upcoming friendlies against Wales and Germany.
The news will come as a blow to Spurs as they prepare to face Crystal Palace at the weekend, with Lloris also considered a doubt for the North London derby against arch-rivals Arsenal following the international break.
Real Madrid fans will no doubt be further frustrated by the news that their side was only able to beat an injured goalkeeper on one occasion during Wednesday's chastening defeat.
Speaking to the press Deschamps said: "He (Lloris) underwent tests this morning and he'll be out for a minimum of two weeks."
Despite the injury, Lloris will no doubt be happy with his evening's work with Michel Vorm now set to step in in his absence.
