The 'msn' is history, but Barcelona have held on to two key figures. Messi and Suarez, friends on and off the pitch, could play for the first time on Saturday alongside the team's latest addition, Ousmane Dembele.
The Argentine has already met the new vertex of Barca's offensive triangle. Messi trained with the former Borussia Dortmund winger for the first time on Thursday, while Luis Suarez and Dembele will have to hold on until Friday to converge on the training ground.
Even though Dembele himself has insisted that he is not there to replace Neymar, the Frenchman wants to impress Barcelona fans from the start. Neymar's departure is still very recent at the Camp Nou and a successful debut for the 20-year-old would uplift spirits at the club.
Barcelona's strategy in attack is due to change. While Dembele possesses features that Neymar boasted like his flare and dribbling ability, the Frenchman is not as much a goalscorer as he is a player who racks up the assists throughout the season. Messi and Suarez could benefit from this and see their numbers increase in the new attacking trio. It all begins on Saturday.
