Coutinho is contracted at Anfield until 2022, but Barcelona are yet to give up on signing their man and are planning a move in January which would certainly bolster the club's ranks for the second half of the season.
However, not everybody at Barcelona would welcome the Brazilian with open arms. Ivan Rakitic is not pleased at the prospect of playing second fiddle to the 25-year-old and would consider his options away from the Camp Nou.
At the age of 30, the Croatia international still has a few good years in him and would have plenty of suitors. He could even be included in a swap deal if Jurgen Klopp believes Rakitic can fit into Liverpool's style of play.
Having scored 27 goals in 177 appearances for the Catalan giants, Ivan Rakitic could be on his way out of Barcelona should Liverpool accept Barca's latest bid in the Coutinho transfer saga.
