Chelsea's Champions League humiliation at the hands of Roma has had a devastating effect on the atmosphere in the dressing room if reports in Spain are to believed.
Spanish publication 'Sport' reports that Cesc Fabregas, Gary Cahill and David Luiz were all involved in a bust up with manager Antonio Conte the day after the game as the players questioned the tactics deployed in the defeat.
As a result, Luiz was stripped of his starting berth ahead of the visit of United though the Brazilian was the only player who was punished for the incident.
People have been quick to suggest that the friendship between Luiz and the previously exiled Diego Costa could have been a factor in sidelining the Braz international but that seems somewhat farfetched considering that the 30-year-old had previously started every Premier League game that he had been available for so far this season.
