Dembele spoke to 'Telefoot' regarding his first season at Barcelona, admitting: ''I am not at my peak performance, but little by little, I am getting there.''
The Frenchman transferred from Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season for a €105million fee. However, the former Rennes player has not yet seamlessly adapted to life at Barca, chiefly due to an injury sustained earlier in the season.
He said: ''I have to work on my cardio because I fatigue very quickly. But at Barcelona I have a better lifestyle, at Dortmund I didn't have a good lifestyle and I was not injured, so that's not the problem.''
The forward also added that he has felt very welcomed by Leo Messi, Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez and other Barca stars: ''They give me advice and help me a lot on the pitch, it is difficult to adapt to life in Barcelona.''
The France international, who has been selected nine times and scored one goal, has no desire to the leave the Catalan giants this summer: ''I signed a five-year contract with Barca, so I will be at the club for a very long time, I am not going to leave after just one season.''
