Alberto Moreno cannot wait for the Champions League final. Speaking to the Spanish outlet 'Marca', the left-back says he is counting down the days until the 26th. "Since the end of the last league game, it's all I've been thinking about," he said. "I just want it to be Saturday."
And although, Real Madrid are widely regarded as favourites to win, the Liverpool defender believes that there is no such thing as a favourite in a final.
"In a final nobody is a favourite," Moreno claimed. "Both teams are there because we deserve to be over the course of the season, but it's a Champions League final and anything can happen."
"Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world, but Liverpool have enjoyed an incredible season in which we've broken all sorts of records. We have Salah who is amazing and Firmino and Mane. I think we have a very competitive team and the final will be very beautiful."
On the topic of Liverpool's famous front three, Moreno made a big claim when asked if he'd prefer Bale-Benzema-Cristiano or Mane-Salah-Firmino. "MSF, without doubt," he replied. "Salah provides the goals, Mane is direct and Firmino is a complete star."
According to the left-back, the arrival of Salah has eased the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona."Salah has made us forget Coutinho in a certain way," he revealed. "What he has done this season is incredible and has prevented him from being missed too much. With Coutinho we had a lot of creativity, but Salah scores goals, he has something that always is present."
Asked what he fears most about Madrid, Moreno said that their attack scares him. "Their forward power, they are one of the best teams in the world and they have a lot of quality in attack," he said. "They can score a goal with such ease."
