Tottenham dominated the game from start to finish, but won by a solitary goal with Kane, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Kieran Tripper all guilty of wasting chances to extend the lead. Alexandre Lacazette almost made them pay in the closing stages of the game as he pushed an effort just wide.
"It was a great game, we really played well, especially second half we had plenty of chances after we went 1-0 up," Kane said speaking to Spurs TV.
"That's what happened, we should have been more clinical, we know that, but we played very well. We kept them quiet until the last five minutes when they piled on the pressure. But overall it was a good day," the striker continued.
With Juventus and their famously tight defence to come in the Champions League, chances will likely be at a premium for Spurs and Kane and co. will need to be as clinical as possible to succeed.
