The future of Kepa gets more complicated every day. As reported by the radio program 'El Transistor', on 'Onda Cero', Real Madrid have delayed the arrival of the Spanish goalkeeper due to his possibility of having to undergo surgery for an injury that has kept him out of the competition for several weeks.
This operation on the toe would sideline him for three months, something that 'Los Blancos' are not interested in at the moment, despite their great interest in signing him.
Of course, this version from the Madrid executives is contradicted by Zidane himself, who has already assured in more than one press conference that he does not want to sign anyone in this winter market, especially not a goalkeeper.
For his part, Kepa only wants to resolve his future as soon as possible, since he is starting to become a thorn in the Basque team's side after rejecting a contract renewal which took more than a year of negotiation.
In fact, since the medical which Real carried out last Thursday at the Sanitas La Moraleja hospital, the tension in Bilbao has become even greater. A tension that Kepa hopes to resolve in these 21 days that are left in January.
