The Magpies continue their incredible form in 2018, while Arsenal will be disappointed with themselves, after failing to penetrate the Newcastle back-line in the second half.

He puts it back in place afterwards though. Good lad.

Arsenal grew into the game after a fast Newcastle start, and took the lead through Lacazette in the 14th minute, before Ayoze Perez equalised in the 29th after a lovely piece of counter-attacking play.     GOAL! Newcastle! Ayoze Perez! A lovely well worked goal from Newcastle to equalise! Shelvey hits a long ball up-field, which is controlled superbly by Gayle and laid off to Yedlin. The right-back whips in a low cross, and Perez finishes with aplomb. 1-1.

    An important last-ditch stop from Lascelles stops anyone turning in a dangerous ball in the box from Calum Chambers. The corner is delivered with venom, but nobody gets on the end of it.
