Liverpool to fend off interest from Madrid for Salah

The Egyptian forward scored twice and assisted two others during Liverpool's incredible 5-2 win over Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

The scintillating performance has led many to consider Salah one of the favourites for this year's Ballon d'Or, especially given his impressive goal tally of 43.

Understandably, his displays have caught the attention of all the top clubs around Europe, in particular Real Madrid, who are hoping to rejuvenate their squad after a mixed season.

However, the aforementioned English newspaper has claimed that Liverpool are prepared to fend off all interest from the Spanish giants, no matter how much money they offer in the summer, as the 'Reds' look to make Salah their star player for the foreseeable future.

Following the win against Watford in March, the club announced that it would not consider any approaches for Salah and subsequent performances have only reportedly strengthened their resolve.

Nonethless, 'Sky Sports' also report that at the moment, Madrid haven't made contact about a transfer for the 25-year-old. Although with the end of the season fast-approaching, that could change at any point...
