Liverpool: The hosts continue to be without Emre Can (back), Adam Lallana and Joel Matip (both thigh), but could opt to play the same side that saw off Manchester City 3-0 in the last round.
Roma: Defender Rick Karsdorp will definitely miss out with a knee injury, whilst Gregoire Defrel (ankle) and Aleksandar Kolarov (muscle) are doubts and face late fitness tests. Diego Perotti is available once again following three weeks out.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp:
"A lot of people expected this semi-final to be Barcelona v Man City but it's not because it's football. I came up the stairs at Man City and someone told me Roma won 3-0 and I said it is not possible because they are playing Barcelona, but I love this game because of it.
"Maybe Liverpool and Roma's situation is similar in our domestic leagues because we have big competitors, but first and foremost we have to enjoy our own football. A lot of teams can win the title but it's our job to show the best we can, even if it's not enough to win the league, we have to show it.
"Now we both have the chance to go to the final and that's all I need. I like the way Rome have done it - they lost Mo Salah and Emerson like we lost Philippe Coutinho but we continued believing in ourselves. They have all my respect, and who cares if we are the underdogs in this Champions League."
Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco on Mohamed Salah:
“I don’t need them (my players) to tell me (about Salah's ability).
“His qualities are very clear. Don’t forget that I prepared games against him in Italy, too.
“But the fact lots of our players know him well, that can be an advantage.
“[My players say Salah is] a great guy, a great professional, a hard worker.”
