The fine was issued at the beginning of the month, after City were accused of 'failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion' during their FA Cup loss to Wigan.
During the game players crowded around referee Anthony Taylor after he showed Fabian Delph a red card. In addition there was an incident at the end of the game, when Wigan supporters invaded the pitch, leading to an altercation between Sergio Aguero and one of the fans.
An independent regulatory comission has now released a statement, after reviewing Manchester City's discipline in a broader sense. It was the third charge in 14 months for the 'Citizens', and the panel has stated that they are 'extremely concerned' by the club's discipline.
However, despite the concern, no points deduction was applied for the repeated breaches of discipline.
"The Commission Members were extremely concerned about the recent frequency of breaches by the club considering they had no such incidents on their five season record prior to December 2016," the panel stated.
"These antecedents were considered a serious aggravating factor although not to the level to consider the deduction of points."
