In an interview with 'GloboEsporte,' the 1999 Ballon d'Or winner advised Neymar to leave Paris Saint-Germain if he aspires to reach the summit of world football. For Domenech, that's not the solution.
"Elsewhere, the French league is considered as inferior, but if Paris get to the semi-finals of the Champions League, and Neymar is world champion, the problem will be solved and nobody will speak about the fact he plays in Ligue 1 anymore," claimed the former France manager talking to 'L'Equipe.'
"You can't put all the responsibility on PSG, his international career with Brazil is also very important. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will always be above him, unless he wins the World Cup. Rivaldo has the right to make his ridiculous claims, but if Neymar signs for Real Madrid, he'll still be behind Cristiano Ronaldo,' Domenech concluded.
The PSG forward, who is still recovering in Brazil, is expected to make a return to the French capital in May. There, he'll have the chance to change the public opinion and prove Domenech right.
