Moore, who had previously been the caretaker boss for the closing stretch of the season, was announced as the permanent manager on Friday, after impressing in his short stint.
Although he was unable to save West Brom from relegation to the Championship, the 44-year-old galvanized the team, losing just once in six games. Moore was named Premier League Manager of the Month for April, despite being relegated on the same day he was awarded.
The English coach, who now faces the task of returning the 'Baggies' to the top flight, has revealed that it was an easy decision to accept the job on a permanent basis.
"I'm extremely proud," Moore said, speaking to the press. "It's a great moment for me. I accepted the offer instantly. I'm really looking forward to the job ahead."
He admitted that a tough task lies ahead, but said it was a challenge he was looking forward to. "The Championship is a very tough, gruelling, relentless league with many challenges to overcome," he said. "I am very much looking forward to it. Having played in that division I know what lies ahead."
"The ultimate ambition is to keep this club moving forward. To say it's promotion would be wrong because there are 23 other clubs vying for that."
"We will come together as a football club to discuss the budget and transfers and things like that and it will be a busy summer, but together as a club we will discuss all that."
West Brom's chief executive, Mark Jenkins, has full faith in Moore. "More than anything, he encapsulates what we want at this club: pride, honesty, hard work, and he loves the Albion," Jenkins said.
"After eight years in the Premier League we need to get back to those fundamentals."
The West Brom chief also explained West Brom's transfer situation. "There will be no player brought in without Darren saying yes to them," he revealed. "It's pointless bringing in players he won't play. It will be a strong budget because we've just been relegated. It's not about how much you spend, it's about what you spend it on."
"This club does not have to sell any player to balance the books."
