Real enjoyed an uncharacteristically quiet transfer window this summer but according to '90min', that is not something that will repeated next summer, with club president Florentino Perez having been set the task of bringing a huge star to the club.
The Spanish champions have identified the following three players as fitting the profile they are looking for:
Paulo Dybala - Juventus
Since arch-rivals Barcelona pulled out of the race to sign the Argentine due to a perceived incompatibility with Lionel Messi, Real have no competition for his signature. Any deal would be complex though, with Dybala thought to be in talks over a new deal in Turin.
David Alaba - Bayern Munich
Alaba has featured on Real's wishlist for some time now and with reports that the player is by no means happy in Bavaria, now may be the time for 'Los Merengues' to strike.
Dele Alli
It seems that half of Europe are keeping an eye on the England international, not that Tottenham will let him go without a fight though. Still just 21, Alli has scored 30 goals in 77 Premier League games since joining Spurs from MK Dons.
